Time management!  I need it.

The world feels so alive during Fall.  The wind picks up, the trees turn vibrant colors of red and orange.  Everything feels a little more magical, a little more exciting, as the weather wakes you up.  Nights spent indoors with a good book and a hot drink become more appealing- and the wild sounds outside provide that perfect combination of gratefulness for the roof over your head and exhilaration that you never really know- can never be completely sure- that your cozy space might not be interrupted by an adventure of your very own.

Fall...I love it, so full of mystery and beauty and change.  Speaking of change, though: I've been trying to change my life, get more organized, and when it comes down to it, transform my training into a career.  Life is such a bizarre juxtaposition of quiet, calm moments and frenetic, wild energy.  If only I could channel myself more effectively.  Pointers anyone? :)

Book recommendation:  The Tapestry series by Henry Neff.  There are currently three books out; "The Hound of Rowan", "The Second Siege", and "The Fiend and the Forge".  They are truly inspired, and his writing only improves as he goes.  These are magical novels.  The series is set to be five books total, but we'll have to see; Mr. Neff originally planned it to be a trilogy.  The more the better, I say!  This author is a treasure trove of everything I seek in writing: dangerous adventure, incredible characters, inspired unpredictable plot, some serious struggle and pain tempered with humor and a truly meaningful cause...good guys you can really get behind and bad guys you can really fear.  His characters are central, and nuanced- both good and bad.  And as I said, the series only gets better as you go.  Here's to Henry Neff!

For next time:
I've just collaborated with another deviant on here, and will soon put a link up for that video as well.  :)  It features her beautiful photography...but I won't say any more until it's in the bag, so to speak. :)
